AFC Bournemouth have reportedly made a club-record contract offer for Lloyd Kelly, who Liverpool reportedly want to sign.
The 25-year-old defender has been a stable for the Cherries ever since signing for the club from Bristol City, with Kelly’s contract now currently set to expire at the end of the season.
As a result, transfer interest is beginning to increase for Kelly, with Liverpool one such club keen on signing the Bournemouth defender in 2024.

However, according to TeamTalk, the south coast side have now made a club-record contract offer to tie Kelly down to Bournemouth and in a bid to scare off the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.
Lauded by former Bristol City manager Lee Johnson as ‘unbelievable’, Kelly would have been quite the signing for Liverpool as a replacement for the injured Joel Matip.
And whilst Bournemouth are now pushing the boat out to keep the defender at the Vitality Stadium, Liverpool could make a counter-offer than could be tempting for Kelly.
Lloyd Kelly should reject Bournemouth contract for Liverpool move

Whilst Bournemouth going all out to keep Kelly is a sign of respect from the Cherries, a move to a bigger Premier League club should be on the defender’s mind.
As we know, Kelly has proved he is good enough to play for a bigger English side than Bournemouth, with Liverpool an ideal destination for the centre-back.
Indeed, the Reds are eager to add to their defence in January, and no player in the Premier League market is as appealing at the moment as Kelly.
And for Liverpool, they should strongly consider making a counter-offer for the centre-back, with Anfield clearly an intriguing move for Kelly heading into 2024.
