Fabinho has now shared who he thinks has been Liverpool’s player of the season so far, with the former Anfield star naming Mohamed Salah.
The Brazilian international left Merseyside in the summer after Al-Ittihad made a shock £40m offer for the 30-year-old midfielder, with Liverpool allowing Fabinho to head to Saudi Arabia.
Whilst the Reds are yet to fully replace the defensive midfielder, the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo have pulled their weight in Fabinho’s absence.

And speaking to TalkSport, the former AS Monaco star has named Salah as Liverpool’s best player, with the winger recently scoring his 200th goal for the Reds.
Fabinho said when asked about his former teammate Salah: “At this moment Mo Salah is happy at Liverpool. He’s scoring goals every game and he has been their best player.
“I’m very happy for Mo. This season he will stay at Liverpool so I wish him all the best and hope he keeps scoring goals and winning trophies with Liverpool.”
Liverpool fans will agree with Fabinho on his Mohamed Salah opinion

With Liverpool flying in the Premier League and Salah at his usual best, the good times are finally back at Anfied after last season’s car crash.
And many fans will agree with the former Liverpool superstar that Salah has been the Reds’ best player this campaign, especially after his record-breaking exploits.
Indeed, whilst it’s not yet known if Salah will be joining up with Fabinho in Saudi Arabia next year, everyone will be hopeful that the winger stays at Liverpool for one more season.
Salah is back to his best and has been brilliant this season, and Fabinho is well aware of how important the winger now is for Liverpool heading into 2024.
