Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Liverpool’s reported interest in TSG Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier.
The 21-year-old attacker has emerged as a transfer target for the Reds in recent days, with Liverpool reportedly keen on signing Beier heading into 2024.
With a release clause worth £25m, there’s a good reason why Liverpool are keeping tabs on Beier, who this season has been one of the breakout stars in the Bundesliga.

However, according to Romano via CaughtOffside, no negotiations are yet to start between Liverpool and Hoffenheim over the 21-year-old attacker, despite what recent reports have claimed.
Romano said when asked about Liverpool’s interest in Beier: “Despite stories in the German press about Liverpool eyeing Max Beier, I’m not aware of negotiations at this stage.
“Liverpool are always very attentive to the German market, so for sure they’re scouting a lot of players, but this is still nothing advanced or concrete. Beier is very good player and many clubs are keeping a close eye on him.”
Liverpool need to pick up the pace over signing Maximillian Beier

Beier is quickly emerging as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting prospects after a breakout season so far with Hoffenheim, with Liverpool clearly interested in the youngster.
And whilst the Reds might not be in talks right now to sign Beier, the Anfield side should consider getting a move on in the coming weeks as we head into 2024.
Beier has shown he is quite an exciting prospect after a string of impressive performances for Hoffenheim, and Liverpool could be a logical next step for the attacker.
