Kostas Tsimikas has named Alisson Becker as the best goalkeeper in the world after the Liverpool star’s latest performance for the Reds.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper was the hero for Jurgen Klopp’s side on Saturday as Alisson made two crucial saves to deny Crystal Palace from getting anything at Selhurst Park.
With Alisson missing the last few games due to injury, the Brazilian’s return was most welcome this weekend in south London, with Liverpool going top of the Premier League.
And speaking to Liverpool’s official website after Saturday’s 2-1 win, Tsimikas lauded Alisson as potentially the best goalkeeper currently playing in world football.
Indeed, few would dispute such a claim given Alisson’s performances for Liverpool over the years, and this weekend proved that the former AS Roma star is still at the top of his game.
Tsimikas said about Alisson: “When we speak about Ali we are speaking, for me personally, about the best goalkeeper in the world. What saves, unbelievable! What a guy as well.”

Some fans thought Liverpool took a big gamble on Alisson when the goalkeeper was signed for a record deal in 2018 from Roma.
Yet five years on from the transfer, and Alisson has been worth every penny for Liverpool, with the Brazilian arguably the best in the world based off recent performances.
Whilst Alisson has been subject to some mistakes, the 31-year-old has bounced back everytime for the Reds and come up with some massive displays over the years.
And with Liverpool now in a Premier League title battle, the Reds will want their starting keeper to maintain the level of form that’s made Alisson as highly rated as the South American is.
