And the youngster received plenty of love on social media for his late winner, with the likes of Takumi Minamino, Diogo Jota and Tyler Morton all lauding Elliott.

With Ryan Gravenberch praising Elliott as ‘special’ on Instagram, it’s safe to say that Elliott is the man of the moment in the Liverpool dressing room this weekend.

Elliott has been a mainstay in Liverpool’s senior squad since 2021, with the youngster clearly one of the most talented prospects in England a midfielder for the future for the Reds.

Yet it has always felt that something was missing in the youngster’s game, with goals and assists a rarity in Elliott’s game despite his obvious abilities.

However, yesterday’s winner against Palace could be career-defining for Elliott, who could now realise his immense potential at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.

There’s no denying that the Reds have a superstar on their hands in Elliott, and what they do with the midfielder now could be the difference between the youngster becoming world-class or just another player.
