Jurgen Klopp has hailed Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool winger bagged his 200th goal for the club yesterday against Crystal Palace.

The Egyptian winger made history after hitting the historic landmark for Liverpool just over six years after joining the Reds from AS Roma in a £34m transfer.

The goal put Liverpool back into the game against the Eagles having gone 1-0 down earlier on, with Harvey Elliott eventually winning the game for Klopp’s side in stoppage time.

And speaking to the Premier League’s official Twitter account, the German manager was full of praise for Salah, who lauded the winger’s ability to score his historic goal at the right moment at Selhurst Park.

Indeed, the Liverpool winger has been nothing but clutch this season in turning up at the perfect time for the Reds, and Klopp was pleased for Salah over his achievement for the Anfield side.

Klopp said: “Incredible number for a super special player. It was pretty much the best moment to score. I don’t know how often he has saved us with a goal in the right moment.”

And if something were to happen to the Egyptian winger, Liverpool’s title bid could quickly dissolve into nothing, with Salah as instrumental as he ever has been for the Reds.

Keeping the attacker fit should be at the top of Liverpool’s priority list heading into 2024, and Salah knows that he can be key in the Anfield side winning the Premier League yet again.
