Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move to sign Inter Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu in the January transfer window.
Midfield is a position the Reds are clearly looking to add more quality to in the winter market having gutted the entire department in the summer and signed four new players in the area.
With rumours linking Liverpool to the likes of Khephren Thuram, it appears that the Anfield side are still not done yet with overhauling their midfield, and Calhanoglu is now seemingly on the radar.

According to InterLive, the Reds are one of four Premier League clubs keeping an eye on the Serie A maestro, who the Bundesliga’s official website once hailed as one of the best set-pieces takers in the world.
At 29, Calhanoglu is firmly at the peak of his career and was key to Inter making last year’s UEFA Champions League final, where the Nerazzurri lost to Manchester City.
Indeed, the Premier League could be a potential destination for Calhanoglu in 2024, yet for Liverpool, splashing the cash on a player who is approaching 30-years-old could be a risk.
Liverpool can do better than Hakan Calhanoglu in January

Calhanoglu has had quite an interesting career across Italy and Germany, and whilst the midfielder is clearly a quality individual, Liverpool can do better than the Turkish international in January.
It’s evident that a younger midfielder is on Liverpool’s agenda for the January window, something Calhanoglu simply isn’t despite being at the prime of his career.
Although having another set-piece master sounds appealing, Trent Alexander-Arnold showed this weekend that this is something Liverpool are hardly lacking.
As a result, there’s no real need for the Reds to move for Calhanoglu in January, especially with many rivals clubs also interested in signing the Inter midfielder.
