BBC pundit left fuming over 24-year-old Liverpool player’s antics vs Fulham

Stephen Warnock was not pleased with Darwin Nunez’s apparent diving for Liverpool against Fulham earlier today.

The Uruguay international led the line for the Reds this afternoon as the 24-year-old striker struggled to break down the Cottagers, with Nunez hitting the bar in the second half.

And the forward’s average performance was met with criticism from Warnock, with the pundit saying on BBC Radio Five Live that he was not pleased with the attacker’s diving against Fulham.

Indeed, it was a one of the games of the season as Liverpool came from 3-2 down to win 4-3, with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s brace the difference for the Reds.

Yet Nunez’s supposed diving left a sore mark on Warnock, with the pundit clearly annoyed with the Liverpool attacker’s antics against Fulham today.

Warnock said: “There has been a few times now that Nunez has thrown himself to the ground looking for a foul. Book him. We need to eliminate that from the game.”

If it isn’t evident already, diving has no place in football, with the act something that shouldn’t be anywhere near a Premier League pitch, let alone at Liverpool.

And for Nunez, the forward knows better than to delve into the darkest of dark arts, even if the striker is now forming a reputation as being the chaos merchant of the Premier League.

With Warnock rightly calling out the forward for his shenanigans, Jurgen Klopp could have some choice words for Nunez at the full-time whistle once the chaos has settled down.
