Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shared whether he’ll tune in to watch Liverpool tomorrow afternoon.
The Gunners have an identical record to Liverpool in the Premier League this season. By way of having scored one less goal than the Reds, Arteta’s side sit a place further back.
That means that tomorrow represents a big chance for Arsenal to get one over on Liverpool, as well as title rivals Manchester City. With the two teams ahead of them playing each other, Arteta can capitalise.
As a result, the Spaniard was asked during his press conference today via arsenal.com if he plans to watch the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.
“We watch the games, for sure,” Arteta replied. “Because we’re interested in the league.
“We always [want to be] on top of everything. But we have to focus on us.”
Arteta hoping to pounce
By the time Arsenal kick-off at 5.30pm tomorrow, they’ll obviously be well aware of what has happened at the Etihad.
For them, the perfect scenario is perhaps a draw. That would then mean that the Gunners can top the table with a win away at Brentford.
However, in the long-run, they should be starting to learn that the more points dropped by City, the better news it is for anyone.
As a result, if they’re to cheer on anyone tomorrow, Arsenal fans – and Arteta – should be on Liverpool’s side.

Nevertheless, as the manager says, his team have to take care of themselves. A trip to Brentford is never an easy proposition for any side and they’ll need to be bang at it.
Even if they do get their desired result at the Etihad tomorrow and they can go top of the table, they’ll have to do the business at their London rivals.
As Liverpool have found out over the years, there comes a different pressure with having to play after your title-challengers have dropped points.
Hopefully the challengers that drop those precious points tomorrow will be City. Either way, it sounds like Arteta, his staff and potentially his players will all be watching.
