Alexis Mac Allister couldn’t believe what Darwin Nunez answered about Liverpool on camera today.

Mac Allister and Nunez have become incredibly close since the former arrived from Brighton over the summer. With Alexis acting as Jurgen Klopp’s translator for Darwin, they spend a lot of time together.

However, it seems that some of that time together could be spent genning up on Liverpool facts. As seen on a TikTok from the Reds official channel today, the pair could know a little more about the club they now represent.

Taking part in a challenge that pitted them against each other, being asked quick-fire Liverpool-related questions, both Mac Allister and Nunez came up a little short.

Darwin perhaps takes the cake for the worst moment. When asked how many Champions League titles the Reds had won, the 24-year-old answered confidently.

“Tres!” he said, holding up three fingers. “No!” grimaced Mac Allister, “No, no, no, no, no.” A well-timed face-palm from the Argentine summed up the mood. Fix up, Darwin!

Time for some homework

Mac Allister doesn’t quite get off the hook here. When asked how many league titles Liverpool have won, the former Brighton man opted for one. Just one solitary league win.

When told the actual number is 19, Nunez chuckles in delight.

“You said one!” laughs Liverpool’s No.9. “One plus 18 equals 19,” argues Mac Allister. “Because since it was called the Premier League I think it was one [title].”

To be fair, he’s absolutely right. Perhaps the Argentinian should even get a bonus points for that!

With both players asked to carry one football in their arms per incorrect question answered, Darwin’s quickly pile up.

But after Mac Allister incorrectly guessed the new capacity of Anfield, the balls tumbled from his arms. With his Reds teammate still stood proudly displaying what looks like seven balls, Nunez is declared the winner.

What a comeback from Darwin. Much like a certain famous comeback from Liverpool back in 2005. We suspect you guys have heard of that one?!

Great to see them getting along so well. More of this, please!
