Jurgen Klopp has said Luis Diaz wanted to play for Liverpool tonight after news broke earlier today that the winger’s father has finally been freed.
Speaking to TNT Sports, the Anfield boss revealed that the Colombian international is ready to feature from the start amid the brilliant update that Diaz’s father has now been freed.
Klopp said when asked how Diaz was feeling ahead of tonight’s match against Toulouse: “He wants to play good, and he will.”
Diaz was the hero for Liverpool on the weekend as the attacker came on from the substitutes bench to rescue a point for the Reds away to Luton Town.
And the forward is now back in the starting XI, with Diaz now able to play with the thought that his father is now a free man after a traumatic few days for the winger.
