Pep Guardiola has said that Erling Haaland should be fit enough to feature for Manchester City against Liverpool later this month.
Speaking to ESPN after the Norwegian superstar was substituted at halftime in City’s 6-1 win against AFC Bournemouth this weekend, Guardiola said Haaland’s injury was not anything too serious.
Guardiola said: “[There was a] Twist in the ankle. We didn’t want to take risks with him. He didn’t feel comfortable. He’ll be back maybe Tuesday, but maybe next Sunday.”

With 13 goals in all competitions already this season, Haaland’s goalscoring antics have not calmed down in the slightest since last year’s record-breaking tally.
And Guardiola’s comments strongly suggest that Haaland will now be fit in time to face Liverpool, a prospect that Jurgen Klopp’s side will not want to encounter.
Indeed, the fixture is already being billed as a potential decider in the Premier League title race, and Liverpool’s defenders will have to be at their best if they’re to stop Haaland.
Liverpool will hope Haaland isn’t available for Premier League clash

Haaland has become the Premier League’s worst nightmare since joining City last year, and Liverpool will be quietly hoping that the striker is still out come their clash later this month.
With Liverpool’s defence as shaky as it has been in some matches this season, the Reds will want every available option on the table needed if they’re to deal with City, with Haaland being out through injury a must.
Moreover, Liverpool’s defence needs to be as good as they ever have been if the striker is fit, with some performances this season leaving little to be desired.
