Calvin Ramsay could reportedly make his debut for Preston North End next week after nearly 17-months out injured since signing for Liverpool.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Scottish youth international is now in line to make his first appearance for the Championship side after joining the Deepdale club in the summer on loan.
Ramsay joined Liverpool last year from Aberdeen to much fanfare, but the right-back’s time in England has been plagued with injuries and fitness problems.

However, the defender now looks set to make his long-awaited return to senior football, with Ramsay set to be available for selection for Preston next week.
Hailed by former Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin as ‘outstanding’, Ramsay has the potential to become a superstar in the second-tier for Preston if he can stay clear of injury again.
And for Liverpool, Ramsay finding his form will be massive heading into 2024, where the defender could become the obvious understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold that the Reds are currently missing.
Liverpool need to hope Ramsay can stay fit at Preston

Ramsay is a talent who has the potential to become a world-beater in the Premier League, and for Liverpool, they will hope the defender can stay fit for Preston.
The Scottish youth international is at a good club in arguably the best division for his development, and any opportunities have to be taken with both hands from Ramsay.
And for Liverpool, the defender staying fit will be key in Ramsay hitting his potential, which for many is as good as most right-backs in the Premier League.
