AFC Bournemouth are reportedly open to letting Lloyd Kelly leave for nothing when his contract expires next summer, with Liverpool interested in the defender.
According to TalkSport, the Cherries are content with the prospect of letting the versatile centre-back leave for nothing if it means keeping hold of Kelly for the rest of the season.
Bournemouth are currently one of five Premier League clubs who have a real chance of going down this season, and losing Kelly in January would be a massive blow for the south coast side.

As a result, Bournemouth are now willing to miss out on a major payday for the defender in January, with Liverpool one of the clubs interested in signing Kelly.
The Reds are keen on signing a defender in 2024, and the Bournemouth star could be an ideal addition to Jurgen Klopp’s ranks given his ability to play at centre-back at left-back.
Indeed, whilst Bournemouth aren’t willing to part with Kelly in January, money talks in football, and Liverpool could still test the waters with a tempting offer.
Liverpool can persuade Bournemouth to sell Kelly in January

Liverpool could be as busy as they ever have been in a January window next year, and Kelly would be quite the addition if the Cherries’ resolve can be broken.
As stated, money talks in the window, especially with players with so little time left on their contract, and Liverpool can make Bournemouth go back on their word with a good enough bid.
With defence a key issue Liverpool have to solve in January, Kelly fits the bill for what the Reds need, and Bournemouth might want to sell if the offer is reasonable enough.
