Darwin Nunez can’t stop laughing after what Alexis Mac Allister did in Liverpool vs Bournemouth

Liverpool’s match-winner Darwin Nunez was left in hysterics after seeing Alexis Mac Allister reaction to his wonder-goal last night.

As he often has been lately, Nunez was the difference for Liverpool on Wednesday. His 70th-minute screamer sending the Reds into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. It was a super strike from the 24-year-old, who had only been on the pitch for 10 minutes.

Coming on at the same time was Mac Allister, who took to his Instagram stories after the game to let Nunez know what he thought of the goal.

“My face says it all,” wrote the Argentine in Spanish. Alongside the caption was a picture of Mac Allister puffing out his cheeks in disbelief as he congratulates Nunez straight after the goal.

“Hahaha,” replied the Uruguayan on his own Instagram stories, also in his native tongue. “For me it’s the mates that you make friends with.”

We’re not completely sure what that truly means, but it’s great to see these two getting along so well.

Mac Allister shares the love

Since joining the club in the summer, Mac Allister has clearly settled in extremely well at Liverpool.

Affable and unassuming, the World Cup winner seems to be friends with just about everyone in the Reds squad.

But it’s with his fellow South Americans that Mac Allister appears especially close.

He and Luis Diaz have seemed to be inseparable at times, with Nunez very much the third of the amigos as well.

As someone a little older, the other South American in the squad – Alisson Becker – seems to be ever so slightly distanced from that group. The goalie is likely still missing his old school Brazilian core of Fabinho and Roberto Firmino.

For Mac Allister though, the presence of lads around his age, from similar backgrounds, is obviously helping.

We’re yet to truly see this relationship blossom on the pitch, although the Argentina international did claim a lovely assist for Nunez against West Ham. As their friendship develops we’ll surely see a few more link-ups.

For now though, we’re going to go back and watch this Darwin goal over and over again.
