Danny Murphy has claimed that Liverpool’s capture of Dominik Szoboszlai has been as exciting as Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid this season.
Speaking on The Take One, the pundit said that the 23-year-old midfielder has taken the Premier League by storm as Liverpool spent £60m to bring Szoboszlai to England via RB Leipzig.
Whilst Bellingham has been on another level for Madrid, it’s hard to deny that Szoboszlai has been an exciting addition for Liverpool, with the midfielder transforming Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Although comparing Szoboszlai to Bellingham might be a bit of a stretch, Murphy still thinks that the Hungarian international has been an exciting signing for Liverpool this season.
Murphy said: “If it wasn’t for Jude Bellingham doing what he’s doing, I think we’d be talking a bit more about Szoboszlai. I’m saying that he has hit the ground running. Looking so good.
“And people are recognising him, but because Bellingham has gone to another planet, everything’s about Bellingham. And I know he’s in a different league, but we talk about Bellingham a lot. Szoboszlai has come in and he’s got it all. He’s a threat, he’s got good feet, he defends well.”
Liverpool did well to sign Szoboszlai after Bellingham blow

After it was made public that Liverpool won’t be signing Bellingham, few fans thought the Reds could find a player as good as the England international in the market as a replacement.
However, Szoboszlai has provided that and then some, with the youngster shattering expectations and looking like a superstar in the making for Liverpool.
Whilst the main numbers haven’t been as impressive as Bellingham’s, there’s no denying that Szoboszlai has been a steal, and Liverpool fans will want to see the Hungarian explode in the coming months.
