Thiago Alcantara could reportedly be the next big-name player to leave Liverpool, with the midfielder’s contract due to expire next summer.
According to journalist Dean Jones, the Spanish international is a likely candidate to be Liverpool’s next major departure, with Thiago yet to play this season due to injury.
Signed from Bayern Munich in 2020 for a reported £25m, the 32-year-old has had a mixed spell with Liverpool, one that has been highlighted by injuries and inconsistent form.

Whilst there’s no denying that Thiago is a world-class player on his days, these have been few and far between at Liverpool, and an exit in 2024 would be beneficial for all.
Indeed, with Thiago good enough to play for a top side, a departure could be appealing for the midfielder next year, especially if the veteran is to leave Anfield as a free-agent.
However, a January transfer could be on the cards if Liverpool decide to put Thiago up for sale, a prospect that could actually happen in the coming months.
Thiago has to leave Liverpool in 2024 no matter what

Thiago could, overall, be disappointed with his time at Liverpool given the injuries the midfielder has suffered and the successes the former FC Barcelona star has missed out on.
And at this stage in his career, Thiago needs to leave for Liverpool to find somewhere else to call home, with the Premier League seemingly now passing by the midfielder’s skillset.
However, given the amount of interest Thiago had this summer, finding a new club could be quite an easy task, with the 32-year-old more than good enough to play for a top European side next year.
