John Terry has admitted that he could have treated Mohamed Salah better during their time together at Chelsea.
Speaking on the Obi One Podcast, the former Blues captain revealed that he felt he could have done more the help the Egyptian winger feel more settled at the club, as well as Kevin De Bruyne.
The duo were famously let go by Chelsea under Jose Mourinho after barely having a sniff at Chelsea, with Salah and De Bruyne’s careers now speaking for themselves.

The pair are now arguably two of the best players the Premier League has ever seen, and Terry now admits he could have done more to make the duo feel settled at Chelsea.
Terry said: “They [Salah and De Bruyne] probably needed an arm around their shoulder, a sit down and a discussion of could I have maybe helped them settle in.
“So actually, from those two players specifically, to the levels they’ve gone, I’m disappointed in myself as captain. And I think that’s a regret that I have and I’ll never be able to replace again.”
Chelsea’s treatment of Salah is Liverpool’s gain

It’s something of an understatement to say that Chelsea bottled it with Salah, with the winger now arguably the best in his position to ever player in the Premier League.
And for Liverpool, Chelsea’s incompetence with the forward is their gain, with the Reds enjoying years of success since Salah’s arrival as the attacker continues to perform at a world-class level.
Indeed, it’s hard to imagine Liverpool without Salah, and Terry’s inability to nurture the forward ultimately led the winger to Anfield, where his legacy has been solidified and then some.
