Jurgen Klopp delighted the travelling Liverpool fans with his reaction to their win over Bournemouth this evening.
The Reds emerged from a tricky encounter with a 2-1 win and a place in the quarter-final draw. It wasn’t always pretty, but it was job done on the South Coast.
And having travelled such a long way to watch their team on a stormy Wednesday night in November, Klopp made sure he signalled his appreciation for the Liverpool fans after the game.
As spotted by journalist Caoimhe O’Neil who posted a video from inside the ground on Twitter, the Reds boss gave his traditional fist bumps towards the away section at the end. Raucously met by those in attendance, it’s always a sign the Jurgen is happy with his night.

Klopp’s show of thanks to the Liverpool supporters was labelled as a ‘gift’ by O’Neil, and that’s an apt description.
It’s a heck of a long way to travel from Liverpool to Bournemouth at the best of times. But on a blustery and wet midweek evening, it must feel even further. And all that for a Carabao Cup fourth round.
Nevertheless, the Reds support was the one you could hear at Dean Court from start to finish. Despite the long journey and the poor conditions – or maybe because of them – Liverpool fans were having a blast.
You can always tell that Klopp is uber-appreciative of the fans when he gives his fist bumps on these kinds of nights. It’s his way of saying thank you.
At times, the manager is reluctant to signal to the crowd after big Premier League wins at Anfield.
But if he truly wants to thank fans for giving it their all, then he doesn’t hold back.
With a win in the bag and Jurgen grinning in their faces, the trip back up North won’t feel quite so arduous tonight.
