Jermain Defoe has praised Mohamed Salah’s form this season, with the Liverpool attacker once again showcasing his abilities for the Reds.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former Tottenham superstar lauded the £34m winger after another incredible performance this weekend against Nottingham Forest.

Salah brought his tally in the league to eight goals and four assists in ten matches as Liverpool sit comfortably in the top-four, just behind Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham.

It’s been quite the season for Salah after a summer of uncertainty, and Defoe has been seriously impressed with what he has seen from the forward.

Defoe said on what has impressed him about Salah: “Just goal involvements. Standards are high. Consistency. He’s an athlete. When he gets into these areas (edge of the box). I mean that is unbelievable.

“The way he drags it back and rolls it through his legs (for Liverpool’s second goal). He is so effective in the final third. That’s amazing thing, isn’t it? That skill. Wow.”

Salah is arguably playing his best football yet for Liverpool

It’s crazy to think of Salah hitting another level higher than what he is already playing at for Liverpool, yet the winger might have just hit it this season.

Like Goku always finding another power level, the Egyptian international has pushed through his latest barrier to become something quite outstanding for Liverpool.

And in doing so, the Reds are enjoying their best of form in quite some time, with Salah at the heart of Liverpool’s incredible turn around in the Premier League.
