James McConnell says 23-year-old Liverpool player is just brilliant in training

James McConnell has lauded Dominik Szoboszlai’s quality in training, with the Liverpool midfielder impressing his new teammates at Kirkby.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the teenage midfielder was full of praise for the Hungarian international, who has become something of a revelation since arriving at Liverpool.

Signed from RB Leipzig, Szoboszlai has established himself as one of the best players in Liverpool’s squad and a superstar in the making in the Premier League.

And the midfielder’s influence in training is now catching the eye, with McConnell naming Szoboszlai as one of the players who has impressed him most in sessions.

Indeed, the midfielder will want to learn from the best if he is to break into Jurgen Klopp’s senior plans, and Szoboszlai can be a big influence on McConnell’s career in the years to come.

McConnell said: “There’s also loads of things you can learn from them individually. [Alexis] Mac Allister is a World Cup winner, [Dominik] Szoboszlai’s a top, top player.”

McConnell could not have picked a better season to finally make the jump into the seniors, with the midfield options around him some of the best in the world.

And for the youngster, he must do all he can to learn from the likes of Szoboszlai, with Thiago Alcantara and Ryan Gravenberch other players who McConnell should be nagging to get advice from.

The youngster is clearly rated highly at Liverpool, and the midfielder must now take it upon himself to soak in everything from the world-class teammates he now has.
