Ben Doak is reportedly set to return from injury soon having missed the last two Liverpool games due to a muscle problem.
According to the Evening Standard, the 17-year-old’s injury is not believed to be serious, with Doak expected to be back in action for the Reds in November.
The Scottish youth international missed Liverpool’s 5-1 UEFA Europa League win last week with Doak also not named in Jurgen Klopp’s squad on Sunday to face Nottingham Forest.

Hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by former Liverpool star James Milner, Doak has been a regular for Liverpool in cup competitions and in the Premier League on the bench, and this latest injury has come at a bad time.
Having already missed one Europa League fixture, Doak now looks set to miss this week’s League Cup clash against AFC Bournemouth, two games that could have been key for the winger’s development.
Indeed, Doak’s injury might not be anything serious, but the timing could not have been any worse for the youngster, who could now miss as many as three guaranteed games with the seniors.
Doak will be fuming with this latest injury

Doak had enjoyed a bright start to the season having broken in fully into Liverpool’s senior team, yet given the amount of non-Premier League games the Reds are playing, this injury is a blow.
This is a stage in the season where Klopp can afford to play younger players and give prospects at the club a proper run-out to gauge their quality and their potential, such as Doak.
And the winger missing these last few games will be a kicker, especially when Doak knows he would have been a starter against the likes of Toulouse and Bournemouth this week.
