Gary Gillespie has showered Dominik Szoboszlai with praise, with the former Liverpool star stunned by how good the 23-year-old is.

Speaking to LFC TV after the Reds’ 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest, the pundit lauded the Hungarian international, who was again sensational for Liverpool in the Premier League.

Szoboszlai joined from RB Leipzig this summer and has been nothing short of a revelation, and Gillespie has sung the midfielder’s praises after the midfielder’s sensational impact at Anfield.

Gillespie said: “Wow, what a player. To be honest, when we signed him I didn’t realise how good he was, but since watching him, he just does everything you want in a midfield player.

“He’s got the right energy, he’s got the fitness, he’s got the strength, he’s got the pace, he’s got an eye for goal, he can play people in.

“All round he’s been absolutely outstanding so far. One of, if not the best, midfield player in the Premier League so far this season.”
