Natasha Dowie has said that Ian Rush views Diogo Jota as Liverpool’s best finisher, with the forward scoring against Nottingham Forest today.
Speaking on LFCTV’s radio coverage of this afternoon’s Premier League clash, the pundit detailed that the Welsh and Anfield legend views Jota as the most clinical goalscorer in Liverpool’s ranks.
Dowie said: “I was speaking to Ian Rush earlier this week about who he thinks is the most clinical finish at Liverpool, and he answered Diogo Jota. That goal there just shows you why.”

With Jota on the scoresheet today having scored on Thursday, the Portuguese international is living up to Rush’s claim that he is the best finisher in the squad.
And such a statement shouldn’t be taken lightly, with Rush still Liverpool’s outright goalscorer with an incredible 346 goals in his Liverpool career, with Mohamed Salah currently sat on 195.
Indeed, Jota’s clinical nature in front on goal has been a huge reason behind his success with the Reds, and the attacker’s goal for Liverpool today against Forest showed just that.
Jota’s goal for Liverpool vs Forest was massive

With Luis Diaz out, Jota has stepped up to the plate perfectly today for the Colombian international, and the attacker’s goal against Forest was massive.
The strike opened the floodgates for Liverpool to begin their effective assault on Steve Cooper’s side, with the Reds now cruising to a comfortable win at Anfield.
And Rush’s opinion on Jota will be viewed as a massive plus for the Portuguese forward, who can become a talisman for the Reds in the coming weeks.
