Liverpool have reportedly scouted Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade for 18 months, with the Brazilian talent expected to head to Europe in January.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds have been monitoring the £34m-rated player for quite some time, with Andre strongly linked with a move to Anfield this summer.

With Liverpool making four midfield signings, the Merseyside giants ran out of time and funds to add Andre to their ranks in the transfer window, though January could provide an opportunity for the Reds.

As per the report, Liverpool are expected to add another midfielder to their ranks in 2024, and Andre could be a player who Jurgen Klopp’s side looks to target in January.

Indeed, the Brazilian is clearly ready for a move to Europe, and Liverpool’s 18-month-long interest in Andre could persuade the midfielder to make the move from Rio de Janeiro to Merseyside.

With rival clubs keeping tabs on Andre, though, Liverpool will have to act fast if they’re to sign the youngster, who will make for an excellent addition to the Reds’ squad.

Liverpool are far from the only club interested in Andre heading into the January transfer window, yet given how long the Reds have watched the midfielder, time is of the essence.

The Anfield giants are clearly big fans of Andre and what the youngster could offer to Klopp’s squad, and Liverpool must now move fast to secure the 22-year-old’s signature.

It’s clear already that Andre is tempted by a move to Anfield, and the Reds must now do their part and arrange a deal to bring the midfielder to the Premier League.
