Senior Liverpool players have reportedly been impressed with Trey Nyoni in training, with the teenager only joining the club this summer.

According to the Liverpool Echo, members of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team have liked what they have seen from the 16-year-old midfielder, who has been impressive at youth level this season.

Nyoni joined from Leicester City this summer as Liverpool beat numerous English sides for the Three Lions youth international.

And with three goals in three U-18 games already for the Reds, Nyoni’s impact has been noticeable at Liverpool, with the youngster already training with the senior squad this week.

Indeed, whilst Nyoni isn’t registered to feature for Liverpool in the UEFA Europa League, all signs point towards the midfielder soon making his senior debut for the Anfield side.

And first-team players being impressed with what they’ve seen from Nyoni already is a good sign for the 16-year-old’s future at the club, with Liverpool seemingly landing a gem this summer.

Despite being a Liverpool player for just a few months, it seems pretty clear that the Reds have stumbled onto a gem in Nyoni.

The youngster is tearing up the U-18s game and could soon be promoted to the U-21s, and Liverpool have to ensure that they monitor the midfielder’s development in the correct manner.

Liverpool are no strangers to seeing wonderkids from their academy fall away into obscurity, and the Anfield side have to be certain that Nyoni doesn’t meet a similar fate.
