Liverpool have reportedly made numerous moves for Victor Osimhen, with the Nigerian strongly linked with a move to Anfield.
According to CalcioMercato, the Reds have made ‘several direct contacts’ with the £150m-rated striker, with Chelsea also keeping a close eye on Osimhen’s situation at Napoli.
As per the report, the reigning Serie A champions want the striker to sign a new contract with a €200m (£174m) release clause, with Osimhen wanting a deal that will double his current salary.

With Napoli doing all they can to not meet the forward’s demands, Liverpool could now be in the driving seat to sign Osimhen, who looks set to leave Italy next year.
Indeed, with Osimhen one of the best attackers in the world, landing the 24-year-old forward would be quite the coup for Liverpool.
And this latest update from Italy seems to suggest that Liverpool are eager to sign Osimhen, with points of contact already being made.
Liverpool need to be certain they want to sign Osimhen

With Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo already on their books, Liverpool signing Osimhen would be quite a strange move, to say the least.
And with the Reds now seemingly in contact over a transfer, Liverpool need to be 100% certain that they want to sign the Nigerian international as a supposed replacement for Mohamed Salah.
With a record transfer on the table, Liverpool need to be spending their money wisely, and everyone has to be on board with signing Osimhen before a deal reaches the next stage.
