Karim Adeyemi has reportedly registered the fastest speed in the UEFA Champions League this season, one year after being linked with a move to Liverpool.

As per EuroFoot on Twitter, the Borussia Dortmund superstar has topped the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alphonso Davies to register the fastest sprint speed in the competition at 36.3 KMH.

Signed for €26m (£23m) last year, Dortmund beat the likes of Liverpool to Adeyemi’s signature, with the youngster impressing in patches for the German side.

With the Reds instead signing Darwin Nunez from Benfica with Cody Gakpo joining in January, it would have been interesting to see how Adeyemi would have developed at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.

And with the forward now registering the highest speed in the Champions League this season, Adeyemi is proving that he could have been quite the weapon for Liverpool.

At 21, Adeyemi is still very much at the start of his career at the top, with the attacker still trying to find his shooting boots since joining Dortmund last year.

And for Liverpool, the forward hitting the highest recorded speed in the Champions League should be of note, especially with Mohamed Salah rumoured to be leaving next year.

Once Adeyemi can find his goalscoring touch again, nobody will be able to stop the Germany international, and Liverpool could again be linked with Adeyemi in 2024.
