Emile Heskey has lauded Alexis Mac Allister’s start to life with Liverpool, with the midfielder establishing himself as a key starter for the Reds.
Speaking to The Sport Review, the former Anfield striker was full of praise for the Argentine international after his £35m move to Merseyside from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Mac Allister was Liverpool’s first signing of the summer and has quickly become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s new-look midfield system.

Whilst the midfielder is still yet to find his best role, Mac Allister has impressed for Liverpool, and Heskey has been pleased with what he has seen from the new Anfield no. 10.
Heskey said about Mac Allister: “I think he’s done fantastic. He was someone that was needed, when you look at the midfield. This is where Liverpool FC and Jurgen [Klopp] are fantastic.
“They look at the ages and the players they have and when they need to replace them with younger and more athletic [players]. You’ve got him [Mac Allister] in there who’s got a fantastic eye for a pass.”
Liverpool will be unstoppable once Mac Allister hits form

Mac Allister is very much at the start of his Liverpool career, with the midfielder still learning the ropes and getting adjusted to Klopp’s style.
Yet there’s no denying that the South American star could soon be unstoppable once he hits top form for Liverpool, something that could happen sooner rather than later.
Indeed, Mac Allister showed with Brighton last season that he can be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and Liverpool fans know they will soon this version of the player.
