Liverpool could reportedly move to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips in the January transfer window.
According to Sky Germany, the Reds are one of three top clubs keeping tabs on the England international, with Bayern Munich and Juventus also interested in Phillips.
As per the report, Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri is a fan of the City midfielder due to his ‘physical’ style of play, as well as his agility in the tackle.

With interest already high in Phillips, Liverpool have quite a mission on their hands already in trying to lure the 27-year-old to Anfield from a rival club.
Indeed, the Reds are in need of more depth in the defensive midfield position, and this update strongly indicates that a move for Phillips is now in the works behind the scenes.
However, interest from Bayern and Juventus could prove to be an issue, with Phillips likely to be a regular at either European club rather than being a rotation option at Liverpool.
Liverpool need to convince Phillips to sign for them in January

Liverpool signing any player from City is always going to bring about difficulties, yet the Reds need to do all they can to recruit Phillips for 2024.
The midfielder’s career has hit a brick wall and then some since moving to Pep Guardiola’s side last year, with Jamie Carragher giving Phillips some interesting advice last season.
A deal will be hard, though, yet with Liverpool eager to sign a defensive midfielder, Phillips himself could push a transfer through if the England international views Anfield as his best transfer option.
