Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to sell Youssoufa Moukoko in January, with Liverpool linked with a move for the 18-year-old striker.

According to Sport Bild, the Bundesliga side are warming towards the idea of selling the teenage sensation in January, with Edin Terzic struggling to fit Moukoko into his tactical system.

As per the report, if Dortmund are to offload Moukoko in the winter, they would prefer to sell the forward permanently rather than loan him out to a rival club, such as Liverpool.

Labelled as ‘the next Lionel Messi’ by Samuel Eto’o, Moukoko is still regarded as one of the best prospects in all of Europe, though things haven’t gone to plan in recent months at Dortmund.

As a result, a departure from Germany could be a good move for Moukoko, with Liverpool a club that could get the best out of the 18-year-old sensation.

Indeed, Jurgen Klopp is a manager who has taken numerous young players and transformed them into world-class stars, and Moukoko could be the next forward to undergo such a change at Liverpool.

It feels like Moukoko has been around forever, with the striker becoming the youngest player in Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League history with Dortmund.

Now aged 18, it’s clear that Moukoko is ready for a new challenge in his career, and Liverpool can offer the forward just that in 2024.

With Mohamed Salah set to leave next year, Moukoko could be the dream long-term replacement for the Liverpool superstar, with Klopp the perfect coach for the teenager.
