Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson have both predicted Liverpool to beat Everton in this weekend’s Merseyside Derby.
Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, the Premier League duo both believe the Reds have what it takes to claim bragging rights on Merseyside once again against the Toffees.
Antonio said on the clash: “Merseyside Derby. Everton vs Liverpool. I’m going to go 2-0 Liverpool,” with Wilson adding: “I’m going to go 3-1 Liverpool.”
Liverpool have started the Premier League season in fine form, whereas Everton’s struggles from the last two campaigns continue to follow the Toffees this term.
A win for either side will be massive in their respective goals for the season, yet with the game at Anfield, anything but a Liverpool win would come across as a massive shock.
Indeed, Everton’s fortunes continue to hit rock bottom amid ongoing takeover chaos and a new stadium being build, and Jurgen Klopp’s side can take firm advantage of the situation.
