Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has admitted that he cramped up last night in Uruguay’s 2-0 win against Brazil.
Speaking to El Observador, the 24-year-old attacker revealed that he pushed himself for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, with the effort worth it as Nunez scored and assisted for Uruguay.
Nunez said: “I come to leave everything on the field, it was noticeable today. I ended up a little cramped in the end. I’m happy with the victory.”

With Liverpool facing Everton in the Merseyside Derby this weekend, Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful that Nunez is fit to face the Toffees.
The attacker has been in impressive form in the last few weeks, and Nunez saying he was cramped after last night’s international clash could be a small worry for Liverpool.
Indeed, the forward being fit for Saturday will be a huge boost for the Reds, and Klopp will hope that Nunez is over the worst of his minor injury when he returns to Kirkby this week.
