Jurgen Klopp could reportedly rest Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister in Liverpool’s Merseyside Derby clash against Everton.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Anfield boss could opt to start the South American trio on the bench for Saturday’s massive Premier League clash.
The three players all played last night for their respective nations in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and due to travel, the trio will only have time for one training session at Kirkby.

With Mac Allister a starter in midfield and Nunez coming off a productive international break with Uruguay, Klopp could be making a potential risk by benching the three first-teamers.
However, given the amount of depth Liverpool now have in the squad, especially in the attack, the Reds could afford to rest the trio against Everton.
Moreover, the likes of Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo and Wataru Endo could thrive in the derby, with Nunez and Diaz, especially, fantastic options off the bench for Liverpool.
Klopp should consider resting Liverpool trio vs. Everton

With the fixtures coming thick and fast for Liverpool, squad management is of the utmost importance for Klopp. And resting Diaz, Nunez and Mac Allister for Saturday could be a smart move.
The trio could benefit from some extra rest after featuring for their respective South American nations, and starting on te bench against Everton might be a wise decision in the long-term.
Moreover, as mentioned, the Toffees could easily be dispatched without the three players, with Liverpool having the depth to ease past their Merseyside rivals.
