Liverpool are one of the sides interested in signing Galatasary winger Kerem Akturkoglu.
Akturkoglu has been in terrific form for club and country this season. His goal against Latvia on Sunday was his fifth of the season, while he’s also laid on six assists.
This has led to speculation that the 24-year-old could soon be on his way to the Premier League. And according to Turkish outlet Aksam, that is very much on the cards.

They claim that the most interested party is Tottenham Hotspur, who have reportedly contacted Galatasaray about a potential deal already.
Spurs are by no means alone, though. All of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are also named as being keen on bringing Akturkoglu to England.
In light of this significant interest, Gala are said to be keen to hand the left-winger a new contract.
However, this seemingly may not stop a move. With big Premier League sides circling, there’s reportedly an ‘expectation’ that talks will begin over a transfer in January.
Liverpool like Akturkoglu
Akturkoglu may not be a particularly familiar name to plenty of Liverpool supporters. However, the Turkey international has been doing the business for a few years now.
Turning 25 later this week, Akturkoglu is not a youngster. He’s already into his fourth season at Galatasaray, playing 135 times and scoring 34 goals.
His numbers in the Turkish Super Lig were excellent last season – he scored nine times and laid on 11 assists.

After just eight games of the current campaign, he’s on course to better that comfortably. Three goals and four assists is an incredibly healthy output.
It’s this kind of form which has led to Akturkoglu being labelled as a ‘magician’ in the Turkish press [The i]. Having reportedly played on a resemblance to fictional wizard Harry Potter, Akturkoglu has embraced this persona, performing wand-waving celebrations and all sorts.
Unfortunately though, we can’t see how this would conjure up a move to Liverpool for the Turk.
Although he looks like a fine player who’s getting better and better, he’s a right-footed left-winger. For the time being, Liverpool simply don’t need to be looking at those. Nevertheless, it sounds like we’ll be seeing this little magician in the Premier League before long either way.
