Liverpool staff are reportedly being cautious about overplaying Harvey Elliott, with the youngster highly rated at Anfield.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool coaches have been careful not to run Elliott into the ground, with the midfielder a constant regular for the Reds when fit and available.
The 20-year-old has already made 75 appearances for Liverpool since signing from Fulham in 2019, though Elliott has only managed to complete a full 90 minutes in just 14 matches.

Given his age and the depth Liverpool have in central midfield, it’s no real wonder why the Reds have chosen to be cautious with how they use Elliott.
However, the grand plan of using the England youth international cautiously could work wonders in the future, with Elliott one of Liverpool’s highest-rated prospects.
Lauded as ‘magnificent’ by the press, Elliott has all the tools needed to become a superstar for Liverpool, and coaches taking the decision to being restrictive with his playing time is a wise decision.
Liverpool are aware that Elliott is a long-term project

Throwing so much trust onto a young player is both exciting yet also risky, with injuries or a lack of form something that can take down a promising talent in an instant.
Yet Liverpool have seemingly weighed up the risks with Elliott and decided to take them into consideration, with the midfielder’s playing time seemingly being restricted as a result.
Whilst this might annoy the player, the results in the long-term could be sensational, and Elliott has all the qualities to become a world-class midfielder for the Anfield side if his development continues.
