Ryan Gravenberch says he loves the music being played in the Liverpool dressing room before a game.
Just like all teams at all levels of the game, the Reds have their own way of getting psyched up before a big match.
And after speaking in a question and answer session with Sky Sports, Gravenberch has just revealed exactly what that is. Asked to name is favourite pre-game tunes, the 21-year-old said he’s a big fan of the DJing in the Anfield changing room.

“One thing, Liverpool are always doing is the song from Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z [Run This Town] before the game,” he smiled.
“When I saw before West Ham, I was on the bench, but I felt something in me like ‘wow!’ you know. From this I got such a good feeling to go on the pitch and want to win the game. Not maybe the favourite music but I go for that song!”

The song in question won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s certainly a good one to get the fires going.
And frankly, we’d be in favour of the Reds listening to just about whatever, as long as it gets them up for the game.
With so many new players in the squad now, Jurgen Klopp and the senior stalwarts might need to start mixing things up a little bit.

For so long, players and manager were absolutely used to the way things worked. It’s probably the case that much of the time, Jurgen didn’t actually have to say too much.
He knew the players enough to trust them to get themselves ready and they knew him and his expectations. But with standard- setters like James Milner and Jordan Henderson now departed, perhaps things will change a little.
Players like Gravenberch will have come with their own ideas and experiences of how to prepare for games. There’s no guarantee that the two things will match up.
Thankfully in the Dutchman’s case everything seems to have worked out. Maybe this will be one we hear blasting out at Liverpool’s trophy parade at the end of the season, someone tell Calvin Harris!
