PGMOL will reportedly release VAR audio from Luis Diaz’s offside goal for Liverpool against Tottenham this weekend.

According to ESPN, the audio from VAR officials’ decision to rule out Diaz’s goal on Saturday will be released, with the winger’s strike being ruled out for offside despite being onside.

The incorrect call resulted in Liverpool losing 2-1 in north London, with widespread outrage ensuing from players, officials and pundits since the game.

And now, some clarity on what VAR officials were thinking during the moment will now be brought to light in the form of an audio recording.

Indeed, with the damage already done, audio from the VAR team will do little to quell the anger Liverpool have felt from the entire incident.

However, holding the officials accountable could be key in real change happening in the Premier League, with the level of officiating in regards to VAR as bad as it has ever been.

PGMOL releasing the audio from the incident will hopefully reveal all the answers both Liverpool and Tottenham are hoping for from the offside decision.

The Reds, especially, will be hopeful that real change will come from this audio release, with Liverpool’s statement last night more than justified.

Such an incident has to lead to radical change, and the release of this audio will do just that in the Premier League if all goes to plan.
