Ange Postecoglou has said that Tottenham struggled to beat Alisson Becker, with the Liverpool keeper the star of the show for the Reds last night.
Speaking to BeIN Sports, the Spurs manager revealed that the Brazilian international did everything to stop Tottenham from scoring, with a Joel Matip own-goal eventually the straw that broke Alisson’s back.
The South American was easily the best player on the pitch for Liverpool in north London this weekend, and without Alisson’s saves, Jurgen Klopp’s side would be leaving Tottenham with more egg on their face.

And Postecoglou was impressed with what he saw from Alisson, with the Tottenham boss highlighting the keeper as one of the many world-class players Liverpool have despite going down to nine-men.
Postecoglou said: “They’ve still got some top players. They’ve got a world-class goalkeeper who’s making unbelievable saves and it’s hard when you’ve got so many bodies in the box.
“I just thought maybe at times we could have varied the way we got the ball into the box, some of our crosses seemed to pick out some big guys in there. It’s not easy but the main thing is we got the job done.”
Liverpool would be lost without Alisson’s heroics

It would be something of an understatement to say that Alisson is Liverpool’s most important player, with the Brazilian one of the best in the world in his position.
The former AS Roma star has been at the top of his game for some time now, and Jurgen Klopp’s side would be lost without Alisson’s heroics.
And Postecoglou’s comments highlight just how good Alisson is, with Tottenham now doubt annoyed they only managed two goals against the Liverpool no.1 this weekend.
