Cristian Romero has taken aim at Alexis Mac Allister on Instagram after Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Liverpool yesterday.

The 24-year-old midfielder replied to his Argentine teammate’s post with the comment: “Normal when you have 12 players,”, with Romeo replying with: “Cry at home”.

Liverpool had a goal incorrectly ruled out against Spurs as Luis Diaz’s opener in the first half was chalked off for offside, a decision that proved to be wrong from the officials.

With Tottenham going on to win 2-1, nine-men Liverpool will feel unbelievable levels of frustration over the result, with Romero’s comment likely to do much good to lower tempers between the two clubs.

However, Liverpool need to bounce back from such a bonkers event, and Romero’s Instagram post needs to be used as motivation for the coming weeks.

Anything that could have gone wrong for Liverpool on Saturday happened, and after Romero’s Instagram post, the Reds need to find motivation.

The Anfield side were robbed in broad daylight by the Premier League’s incompetent referees once again, and Romero’s shenanigans on social media will only add more fuel to the fire.

Indeed, Liverpool know a great injustice has been done to them on the football pitch, and how they respond now will be key in defining their Premier League season.
