Jamie Carragher has slammed the PGMOL after Luis Diaz’s goal for Liverpool against Tottenham has been confirmed as incorrectly disallowed.
Taking to Twitter, the Anfield legend and Sky Sports pundit took aim at the refereeing body after a statement released yesterday night confirmed that Liverpool incorrectly had a goal disallowed.
Diaz had a first-half goal disallowed by VAR for a marginal offside, though as per Sky Sports News, the PGMOL has nor confirmed that the decision to rule out the Colombian’s strike was wrong.
With the goal coming at 0-0 and Liverpool going on to lose the game 2-1, the incompetence of VAR officials have again cost Jurgen Klopp’s side crucial points.
And Carragher’s reaction on social media is arguably too tame for what has happened, with Liverpool being out-right robbed of points in a crucial Premier League fixture.
PGMOL statement on Luis Diaz mistake must anger Liverpool

There’s really no way of sugarcoating PGMOL’s decision on Diaz’s red card, that being that the incident has cost Liverpool crucial points early on in the season.
This isn’t the first time PGMOL have had to come out and apologise for getting a VAR decision completely wrong, and this time the consequences could be dire.
For Liverpool, losing out on three or even one point could be the difference between a Premier League title or missing out come the end of the season, and the Reds should be furious about last night’s revelation.
