Alisson Becker has expressed his outrage after Liverpool had a goal incorrectly disallowed against Tottenham this weekend.
Speaking to ESPN Brazil, the 30-year-old shot-stopper hinted at his frustration over VAR’s decision to rule out Luis Diaz’s opener against Tottenham, a decision which proved to be incorrect.
Alisson said: “My position is clear, everyone saw it. I don’t like talking about arbitration, nor can we talk about arbitration. Sometimes it feels like we are prisoners.

“When he opens his mouth, he is punished from all sides. We are human beings and we have to be outraged by this kind of thing. Yes, it’s the fan’s feeling. It’s our feeling too.”
With PGMOL coming out and admitting that Diaz’s goal should have stood, it’s incredible how tame Alisson’s reaction was considering the magnitude of such an error.
And the Liverpool keeper is right to say that the players have a right to be mad, with Tottenham coming away with all three points when the scoreline should have been completely different.
Liverpool – Tottenham has to be a learning lesson for PGMOL

This isn’t the first time Premier League VAR officials have got something completely wrong, and the tragic thing is is that this likely won’t be the last if things remain unchanged.
The injustice Liverpool were served against Tottenham needs to serve as a timely lesson, with PGMOL needing to be held accountable for what’s happened this weekend.
Indeed, errors as bad as Diaz’s disallowed goal has to lead to important change, and Liverpool will hope major improvements are made in the coming days.
