Paul Merson has praised Liverpool over their business for Dominik Szoboszlai, who has been a revelation for the Reds this season.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, the pundit lauded the Hungarian international, who Liverpool signed this summer from RB Leipzig after triggering his £60m release clause.
Szoboszlai has slotted into Liverpool’s midfield effortlessly, and many have already tipped the 22-year-old as one of the Premier League signings of the season.
The playmaker was at his best last night as Szoboszlai scored a screamer to secure Liverpool’s place in the last 16 of the League Cup.
Indeed, the 22-year-old has been nothing short of fantastic this season, and Merson can’t believe no other club didn’t make a move for Szoboszlai this summer.
Merson said about Liverpool’s new midfield superstar: “Dominik Szoboszlai has been absolutely outstanding, how has everybody else missed out on him?”
Liverpool will be glad no other club moved in for Szoboszlai
Despite only joining Liverpool a few months ago, it already feels impossible to see Szoboszlai playing for any other club in the Premier League or beyond.
The midfielder has been a sensation under Jurgen Klopp, and Szoboszlai is only getting better with each passing game for the Reds.
At £60m, the midfielder could prove to be a bargain signing for Liverpool, and Szoboszlai’s stock continues to rise every week at Anfield.
