Jamie Carragher has lauded Alisson Becker’s performance against West Ham, with the pundit praising one save from the Liverpool star.
Speaking on the An Echo of Glory podcast, the former Anfield hero was extremely impressed with Alisson’s first-half save on Jarrod Bowen, which kept Liverpool in the game early on against the Irons.
Although the Liverpool star was eventually beaten by Bowen, there’s no denying that Alisson’s performance was an impressive one on Sunday.

The Brazilian international has again been key for Liverpool in their Premier League form, and Alisson will be huge if the Reds are to challenge Manchester City for the title.
And Carragher was impressed with Alisson against West Ham, with the pundit saying: “I think we’ve got the best goalkeeper in the world, I’ve got to be honest.
“I think he’s unbelievable, he produced an unbelievable save at the weekend from Jarrod Bowen. So, yeah we’ve got a top goalkeeper you’ve got to get past.”
Liverpool need Alisson fully fit if they’re to compete with City

Talk of competing for the Premier League title might be pre-mature already, but Liverpool know that if such a challenge was to happen, Alisson will need to be fully fit.
The 30-year-old is arguably the best keeper on the planet, as Carragher himself says, and Alisson’s fitness and form will be key in Liverpool competing for the biggest prize in England.
Moreover, Alisson’s performances will be and have been crucial in Liverpool claiming early-season points, which have already built the backbone for a strong start to the campaign.
