Moises Caicedo’s agent has claimed that the midfielder is a mix between N’Golo Kante and Jude Bellingham, after Liverpool missed out on signing the youngster.

Speaking to Tuttosport via ESPN, Ali Barat made the unbelievable comparison between the former Chelsea star and Real Madrid midfielder with Caicedo, who joined Chelsea this summer.

Barat said: “He is a mix between Kante and Bellingham: the speed of the Frenchman and the technique of the Englishman; an explosive cocktail.”

Liverpool missed out on signing Caicedo after Chelsea paid a British transfer-record to sign the midfielder, who has struggled to settle at Stamford Bridge since joining last month.

The Ecuador international is clearly a talented prospect, but Caicedo’s agent might have taken the praise just a bit too far with his latest comments.

Indeed, the 21-year-old has all the tools to become world-class, yet hitting Bellingham or Kante’s level might now be too lofty a goal for Caicedo, especially at Chelsea.

Getting carried away is one of the pillars of football, yet even Caicedo’s agent must be aware that his client is not as good as a Bellingham or a Kante.

Moreover, the midfielder won’t hit these dizzying heights at Chelsea in their current state, with Liverpool clearly the better club for Caicedo.

The Reds had an ideal spot reserved for the Ecuador international, and Caicedo’s decision to snub Chelsea for Liverpool could be one that comes back to haunt them.
