James Maddison and James Milner have both praised Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the former Liverpool star scored his first goal for Besiktas.
The midfielder was on the scoresheet for the Turkish giants on Saturday as Oxlade-Chamberlain helped Besiktas secure a 2-1 win against Kayserispor in the league.
And taking to Instagram, Oxlade-Chamberlain was showered with praise from former teammates and fellow professionals, with Maddison and Milner amongst the crowd.
The former Liverpool star left field this summer alongside Milner as both their contracts expired with the Anfield side, yet few predicted Oxlade-Chamberlain to make the move to Turkey.
However, after this weekend’s exploits, the midfielder is seemingly enjoying life out in Istanbul, with Oxlade-Chamberlain potentially kick-starting an adventurous career with Besiktas after Saturday’s goal.

Few football fans would expect Oxlade-Chamberlain to hit his former best playing in Turkey, a country where there have been more failed redemption stories than successes.
Yet the former Arsenal man is a player who is out there to prove doubters wrong, and Oxlade-Chamberlain’s performance on Saturday will instil confidence.
