Liverpool’s good start to the season has coincided with Jurgen Klopp bringing in a number of fresh faces to boost the squad in the summer.

Klopp splashed the cash on players like Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai to strengthen the midfield areas.

And according to Clinton Morrison, the form and performances of Szoboszlai have really surprised him, with the pundit admitting he’d no idea he was this good.

Clinton Morrison seriously impressed with Dominik Szoboszlai

Szoboszlai has made a hugely impressive start to the season for the Reds and arguably been the best player so far.

And speaking to Premier League Productions for Optus Sport, pundit Morrison has admitted he’d no idea the Hungarian was as good as he is.

“Szoboszlai of Liverpool. The reason I say him is because when they signed him I didn’t know a lot about him, but he has been outstanding in that midfield. Edouard is a good shout as well,” Morrison said when asked who had surprised him this season.

“He has surprised me in a good way. I think he’s a top, top player, I didn’t know he was that good, but he’s come into the midfield and adjusted straight away, a brilliant signing.”

Szoboszlai – who earns a reported £120k-a-week at Anfield – looks very much like he is already one of the first names on the teamsheet at Liverpool at the moment.

RTK’s View: He’ll get better and better

In good news for Liverpool but worryingly for the rest of the Premier League, Szoboszlai is only 22 and so there is so much more to come from him in the future.

Right now, he already looks like being a class act and it would be no surprise if he continues to drive the Reds forward and onto success.

But the idea of him getting better and better is frightening and he does have the potential to be a bit of a great at Anfield. Hopefully, that’s exactly how his career pans out and we get to see a truly world-class operator.
