Once again, Mo Salah is having a tremendous season for Liverpool as he looks to get the club back to winning ways once more.

Salah has been absolutely sensational since coming to Anfield and continues to set the standard. The 31-year-old doesn’t even appear to be slowing down either, and he’ll no doubt be over the 20 goal mark again come May.

And speaking to The Mirror, former Red Emile Heskey has lauded Salah for what he’s been doing in terms of fitness and looking after himself.

Emile Heskey lauds Mo Salah’s fitness

Speaking to The Mirror’s YouTube channel, Heskey covered a range of things around Liverpool and admitted he’d been super impressed with Salah for keeping up and sometimes ahead of the young players.

“It is tough. They will play a lot of games, they’re young lads anyway barring Salah who is like Bruce Lee anyway. If you did all of the tests you’d probably say he has the body of a 23-year-old anyway. They just have to understand they’re going to play the games,” Heskey said.

Salah has already scored two and set up a further four in the league this season and he made a big impact in Europe this week as well.

Once more, it looks like the Egyptian is going to be a massive player for the Reds through the season.

RTK’s View: One of the best ever

It’s an interesting little comment this from Heskey. Mo Salah continues to defy the odds and like Heskey says, he’ll easily be keeping up with the younger lads in the squad.

Salah has been one of the best players Liverpool have ever bought. When you look at the fact we paid around £34m for him, he’s an absolute steal.

If Liverpool do win anything this season, you can guarantee it will be down to Salah playing a big role.
