Michael Owen has tipped Mohamed Salah to become a club legend at Liverpool after the winger’s impressive cameo against LASK tonight.

Speaking on TNT Sport, the pundit was full of praise for the 31-year-old winger, who came off the bench to score Liverpool’s third and final goal against LASK in a 3-1 win for the Reds.

Salah has been key to Liverpool’s form this season, with the attacker registering either a goal or an assist in every game for the Reds this campaign.

Whilst not Salah’s most memorable performance, it was another important one from the winger, with the attacker turning up at the right time for Liverpool.

And Owen believes that Salah is well on his way to becoming a club legend, especially if the Egyptian can help Liverpool win even more silverware this season.

Owen said: “What more can we say about him, he’ll go down as a club legend if he continues to do the business. His record in Europe is quite stunning.”

‘Legend’ is a term that’s thrown around quite easily now in football, yet there’s no denying that Salah deserves that tag for Liverpool.

The winger has developed into one of the best attackers in the Premier League era and a forward who Liverpool would be lost without in recent years.

And the Egyptian showed tonight against LASK why Salah is a Liverpool legend, with the forward turning up at the right moment to help secure a vital win in Europe.
