Jurgen Klopp has detailed that he won’t take the Germany job now due to his loyalty to Liverpool and the time he has spent at the club.
Speaking to RTL, the Anfield boss revealed that he has no plans to leave Liverpool for a return home amid reports that the DFB are interested in hiring Klopp as Germany manager.
Hansi Flick was sacked earlier this month with Klopp emerging as a favourite for the role, though it now appears that Julian Nagelsmann will now take the position going into Euro 2024.
With the news expected to be made official soon, Klopp to Germany can officially be classed as a dead rumour, and the man himself has now said that he won’t leave Liverpool for his home country.
Klopp said when asked about quitting Liverpool for Germany: “We’re building Liverpool 2.0 here, we want to attack again and not just look at how much longer can we go on?
“I have a loyalty to Liverpool. My heart is here in Liverpool. You can’t just cut out the eight years.”

Klopp might one day become Germany manager given how long the Liverpool boss has been linked with the position throughout his coaching career.
Yet the Anfield manager’s comments this week are a huge boost for Liverpool, who will be pleased to see Klopp come out publically to deny any potential return home.
Indeed, Klopp is building something new and special at Liverpool this season, and the German coach seems keen to carry out this plan in the coming months at Anfield.
